Whether you’re looking for a simple place to rest after a day of exploring or a chance to sleep beneath the stars, Knoydart offers welcoming bunkhouses and scenic camping options. From comfortable shared accommodation to peaceful campsites surrounded by stunning landscapes, there’s something to suit every kind of outdoor adventure.
Knoydart Foundation Bunkhouse
The Bunkhouse is a successful community-owned enterprise located in part of the old estate farm steading just around the corner from Long Beach & a 20min walk from the pier. It offers fully self-catering shared accommodation for up to 26 guests and is perfect for walkers, Munro-baggers, and hill climbing groups who enjoy the Bunkhouse’s genuine rustic charm. A warm welcome awaits from Jenny and the accommodation team and they can provide plenty of local information. After your day out you can enjoy a hot shower, then chill out in front of the cosy wood burning stove in the spacious lounge while your gear dries in the drying room. It costs £29 a night (£15 for 16 + under) and there’s free Wi-fi, a laundry service and all your bedding is provided.

Ivy Bunkroom and Cabin
This unique accommodation is part of Ivy Cottage, located right in the heart of Inverie. Your bedroom is a warm and cosy private bunk room within the cottage with large adult sized bunk beds. The room has central heating, an en-suite bathroom with electric shower, toilet and sink and a heated hanging space for coats and boots.
Your chill out area is cosy cabin, tucked away behind Ivy Cottage, that faces the woods with a beautiful waterfall and burn running into Loch Nevis. With camper-style cooking facilities you have a double hob, microwave, mini oven, sandwich maker, kettle, toaster, and fridge to cook up a mini feast. Comes with fire pit and BBQ area. This beautifully designed cabin is the perfect place to relax after a great day of walking or climbing the Munros. The Bunkroom is heated with slimline wall mounted electric heaters. Private entrance.

Ivy Retreat
This beautifully secluded duplex is part of Ivy Cottage, located right in the heart of Inverie. Situated next to the pier and in sight of The Old Forge, this property one of the best-appointed houses in Knoydart.
Ivy Retreat comprises of a comfortable super king-sized bed (which can also be split into a twin bed configuration), and a private balcony with a hanging egg chair overlooking Loch Nevis. The open oak staircase leads down to your cosy sitting room and kitchenette with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal with local produce bought from the shop. Your bathroom has a powerful shower, toilet, and sink. The retreat is heated with slimline wall mounted electric heaters. Private entrance.

Knoydart Foundation Campsite
The Long Beach Campsite is the ideal place to relax after a hard day on the hills or a visit to the Old Forge pub.
Featuring flat, grassy pitches with a spectacular view up Loch Nevis towards the Isle of Rum, the campsite facilities include a rustic Log Cabin shelter, turf-roofed state-of-the-art compost toilet, firepits, firewood and picnic benches. It only costs £12-per-person.

Druim Bothy
Open 1st April – 31st July.
Situated at the mouth of Glen Meadall (around 1hr walk from Inverie Village) this is the ideal spot to base yourself and get up those hills! Druim bothy has a sleeping platform upstairs, kitchen area with small gas cooker and wood burning stove with hot plate and various items of cutlery, plates & pots. Sitting area with bench, table and ‘workshop’ stove. Cold water to the kitchen and a ‘real’ loo.
