Loch Nevis Bunkhouse & Centre

Sleeps up to 24 persons, plus camping available for larger groups

CASTAWAY with your group to the remotest bunkhouse in the West, owned by adventurer Tom MacClean, the first man to row the North Atlantic alone. Enjoy our spectacular wilderness, mountain and loch side location.

The centre comprises of Jocks Lodge, the main building with a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious dining room, and five wooden huts for sleeping groups of 10-24. Ideal for youth & adult groups, and groups of friends wanting to get away from it all.

Knoydart Foundation Campsite

The Long Beach Campsite is the ideal place to relax after a hard day on the hills.

Featuring flat, grassy pitches with a spectacular view up Loch Nevis towards the Isle of Rum, the campsite facilities include a rustic Log Cabin shelter, turf-roofed state-of-the-art compost toilet, barbecue facilities and picnic benches. It only costs £4 for the first person in a tent, and £3 for each person thereafter: just pay the Ranger in the morning (no need to book).

Knoydart Foundation Bunkhouse

Sleeps up to 25 persons

The Bunkhouse is a successful community-owned enterprise located in part of the old estate farm steading just around the corner from Long Beach & a 15min walk from the pier. It offers fully self-catering shared accommodation for up to 25 guests and is perfect for walkers, Munro-baggers, and hill climbing groups who enjoy the Bunkhouse’s genuine rustic charm. A warm welcome awaits from Fiona and she can provide plenty of local information. After your day out you can enjoy a hot shower, then chill out in front of the cosy wood burning stove in the spacious lounge while your gear dries in the drying room. It only costs £17 a night (£10 for 16 + under) and there’s free Wi-fi, a laundry service and all your bedding is provided. There is a payphone so you don’t have to worry about the lack of mobile signal in the village!

Druim Bothy

Open 1st April – 31st July.

Situated at the mouth of Glen Meadall (around 1hr walk from Inverie Village) this is the ideal spot to base yourself and get up those hills! Druim bothy has a sleeping platform upstairs, kitchen area with small gas cooker and wood burning stove with hot plate and various items of cutlery, plates & pots. Sitting area with bench, table and ‘workshop’ stove. Cold water to the kitchen and a ‘real’ loo.
