Visit the historic Isle of Canna for an unforgettable experience!
Running twice a week from 18th April – 30th July 2024.
Mallaig is a small fishing village at the end of the A830 traveling from Fort William.
There is a regular train and bus service from Fort William as well as the Jacobite Steam train that runs twice a day in the summer months. All bus and rail time tables are in the travel links. There is plenty of free parking, shops, swimming pool, restaurants and a new Marina.
Canna is the westernmost island in the Small Isles archipelago and is believed to have been inhabited since 5000BC.
Home to over 20,000 breeding birds including fulmars, kittiwakes, razorbills, gannets, great skuas, sea and golden eagles and of course during the spring and summer months puffins!
Canna is also on the Hebridean Whale Trail so in the nearby waters there’s the chance to spot orcas, basking sharks, minke whales, dolphins, porpoise and seals.
With around 30 minutes to view the bird colonies on the island stacks and about 1 hour onshore to explore the island it’ll be a day to remember.
