Ferry to Tarbet
A popular day out is to walk from Tarbet to Morar. You can take a morning or afternoon boat from Mallaig to Tarbet.
The walk from Tarbet to Morar will take you about 3.5 hours leading you alongside Loch Morar the deepest Loch in Europe and home to Morag the Loch Monster!
This is a spectacular walk and one that you will return to do again and again. Suitable for all the family.
All boats have toilets and drinks available on board. All sailings are weather dependent so please check our web site for any disruptions. A full refund will be made if your sailing is cancelled.
An adult ticket single costs £12. Children aged 5 – 15 years travel half price, under five year olds travel free as do dogs of all shapes and sizes. Please note that each ticket will allow for 1 small piece of hand luggage (such as a handbag or laptop case) per person. All other luggage such as suitcases, rucksacks and all groceries will be charged at £1 per item per sailing
Arrival for Sailing:
Passengers should be on the pier ready to board 15 minutes prior to sailing.
Customers arriving by car are advised to allow for sufficient time to unload and park.
Customers arriving by train must arrive 10 minutes before scheduled sailing time. In the event the train is late and we have been NOTIFIED by Scot Rail we can only hold the sailing for a maximum of 5 minutes.
**Late arrivals may be denied boarding if loading and parking will delay the sailing.**
