A popular day out is to walk from Loch Morar to Tarbet. The walk from will take you about 3.5 hours leading you alongside Loch Morar the deepest loch in Europe and home to Morag (Loch monster).

This is a spectacular walk and one that you will return to do again and again. Suitable for all the family.

Western Isles Cruises Ferry will pick you up at Tarbet at 15:30 Monday to Friday, April to end of October.

All boats have toilets and drinks available on board. All sailings are weather dependent so please check our web site for any disruptions. A full refund will be made if your sailing is cancelled.

An adult single ticket costs £18.  Children aged 5 – 13 years travel half price, under five year olds travel free as do dogs of all shapes and sizes.  Please note that each ticket will allow for 1 small piece of hand luggage (such as a handbag or laptop case) per person.  All other luggage such as suitcases, rucksacks and all groceries will be charged at £1 per item per sailing

Arrival for Sailing:

Customers arriving by car must arrive 30 minutes before scheduled sailing time so luggage can be unloaded and cars parked.

Customers arriving by train must arrive 10 minutes before scheduled sailing time.  In the event the train is late and we have been NOTIFIED by Scot Rail we can only hold the sailing for a maximum of 5 minutes.

Late arrivals may be denied boarding if loading and parking will delay the sailing.
